The Surface Design Show

My first ever visit to the Surface Design Show at the Business Design Centre was well worth the visit. Although a small show, it was full of exciting materials and surfaces. If you didn't manage to visit this year, make a date for next year's event. A couple of my favourites are below.

Tactility Factory combine concrete with textile to create solid tactile materials. Particularly exciting is the digital embroidery embedded in concrete and lazer cut (?) linen also sunk into concrete (below).

SCIN source, specify and sell innovative surface materials for interior and exterior spaces. They had a table of really exciting playful materials, hard materials like wood and concrete with transparent qualities.

I will try to add more, as and when I have more time. Hope you enjoy these.
